How much does it cost?

Our pricing varies depending on several factors. We offer a variety of options to fit your needs and budget.

COST: Simple Services are $400. They include Simple Officiant, Traditional, Modern, Senior, Non-Religious, and Civil ceremonies.

Elegant and Graceful Ceremonies are $500+. They include: Candle-lighting, Speak Now, Salt, Humorous, Wiccan/Pagan Handfasting, Romantic, Unity Shot, Gay, Lesbian, Buddhist, Fairytale Vow Renewal, Nature, and Winter Solstice.

How to get an Alabama Marriage License

Who Picks Up License: The Couple or we'll send you an application

The new Alabama Marriage Certificate can be accessed online at the Alabama Department of Public Health's website at http://www.alabamapublichealth.gov/vitalrecords/marriage-certificates.html. There is one form for persons who are 18 years of age and older, and a second version of the form for persons who are 16 to 17 years of age and require the consent of a parent or guardian to enter into marriage.

The fee to record the Alabama Marriage Certificate in the Probate Court of Lauderdale County, Alabama, is $73.00. This may be paid by cash, check, or card.

They do not accept American Express. There is a 2 ½ % credit card fee minimum of 50 cents.

The path to marriage and state laws changed. Recently, Alabama law did away with the need for a marriage license and made the wedding ceremony optional. Couples need only to print out and complete the Alabama Marriage Certificate from the Alabama Department of Public Health’s website. Once both parties sign the certificate, get it notarized, and file it with the Probate Court, the marriage becomes legally binding (signed in front of a notary). However, couples must be sure to file the certificate within 30 days of the date the second spouse signs it.

Every county in Alabama recognizes this non-ceremonial path to marriage. As a result, you may file at any probate court within any county of the state. However, filing fees vary from court to court.

No state laws require parties to submit blood test results to enjoy a lawful union.

Effective August 29, 2019, the process for entering into a legal marriage in Alabama changed, pursuant to Alabama Act 2019-340. Under the new law, persons wishing to become married are no longer required to file an application for a marriage license with the county probate court, and the courts will no longer issue marriage licenses. Your license will be presented to you by the Wedding Officiant.

Please download and fill out the above form. The fees vary by County. If you are getting married outside of Lauderdale County, AL., and need licensing information, please let me know. I will forward the information to you as your county may charge a different fee.
